Summer Skincare!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to share with you my new skincare routine for the summer season. In the summer I like to have glowing and hydrated skin. I have mostly spotty and oily skin with a few dry patches. Recently I wanted to try new skincare which would help clear my skin. I had heard about the new Boots own brand tea tree and witch hazel skincare range from popular youtubers Lucy and Lydia, so I thought I would try it out.

The first thing I bought was the facial wash. I love this. The consistency of this product is like nothing I've ever used before, I've used gel washes, balms, liquids, creams and foams but never a jelly wash. This wash helps to reduce spot breakouts, cleanses the skin and it leaves me shine free. This says that it has berry extract in it, which I thought would make it smell like berries, but it actually smells like tea tree so if you don't like the tea tree smell I don't think this is the face wash for you. This face wash wakes me up in the morning and refreshes my skin. I have used it for a week now and I already see my spots gradually disappearing.

I also picked up the jelly moisturiser from the range. I have also never used a jelly moisturiser, I love this product, especially the pump. It has a hygienic pump which greatly satisfies me in the morning and night, this is good for me as I normally forget to use moisturiser but with it being so satisfying I don't think i'll forget to moisturise ever again! This moisturiser is really cooling and calming on the skin, I love it!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Winter to Sring/Summer Bedroom!

Hi guys! When your reading this it will be May (wow), where has the past 5 months gone?! But when I'm writing this it is the middle of February, so a couple of days ago I changed my room from Winter vibes to Spring/Summer vibes and I honestly am so happy with the result. I only changed my bedroom accessories as I did get new furniture in October so there was no need for me to get new furniture. Here are the things I got....

Bedding

So I usually get my bedding from Next or Debenhams but this year there just wasn't anything that I really loved, well there was one in Next that was very similar to the one I got but I saw this one in Asda and In my opinion it looks much nicer than the one in Next. Sadly, I couldn't find this one on the Asda website, but I have linked the bedding from Next, they are genuinely so similar.
 - BUY IT HERE!

Cushions

I got these cushions so long ago, in the Next Spring sale 2016! As I purchased these in the sale last year I cant link them but they were from Next and I got them for £4 each and they are really nice quality.

Picture

Again, this is from Next. I really love this, it has a very rustic feel to it and I think it looks fresh and pretty.

Reed Diffuser

I think it is such a nice touch to a room when there is a reed diffuser. I feel like everyone should have one, it's a really effortless way of making your room smell delightful without having to light a candle. I got this as a gift so I don't know where this specific one is from but since there is already a Next them going on, I will leave a link for a fresh smelling reed diffuser from Next.

Candle

I promise that this post is not sponsored by Next, they just have some really lovely homeware bits. This candle is mint lemonade scented, and it smells so refreshing. This fits in well with my lemon theme as now my room doesn't only look like the inside of a lemon, it now smells like fresh lemonade.

Décor

These are my most favourite items in my room. I find them so cheery and they just put me in a good mood every time I look at them. Again... from Next. I can't find these on the website but they are £8 each from Next home.

Décor

I love these. These are copper geometric candle holders. I got these from a local candle shop so they don't have a website but you can get similar ones elsewhere. I have linked a similar one from ASOS.

Succulent

I got this from Asda home and I think this is so super cute. I think this adds a lovely, fresh and lively touch to my bedroom. This was £4.

I hope this has given you some inspiration if you're thinking of doing your room for summer.

5 Motivational Study Quotes!

Hi guys! I hope that studying is going well for you and that you are smashing your exams. For those of you who struggle to get motivated to study, I've gathered 5 of my favourite quotes that inspire me to get up and work hard.

"You don't want to look back and know you could've done better"

"Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you"

"Studying isn't as bad as failing"

"Short term pain, long term gain"

"Your future depends on what you do today"

I really hope this helped you to get motivated to study. Just remember that it won't be long until they are all over and you can enjoy your Summer holidays!

Wishing you the best of luck!

Good Luck🍀

Hi Guys, just a quick post today.

Exams have now started where I'm from so I just thought id give you a little talkative post.

I want you all to know, all you have to do in your exams is try your hardest! DO NOT STRESS! Exam results are not the end of the world and even though it may seem like it just now, you will look back afterwards and regret making yourself stressed over little things, if you just take all the study advice we have given you, if you know you have studied your hardest for the past month then you have nothing to worry about. whatever result you come out with at the end of the exam, you have worked hard for it, even if it is not as good as you hoped for, you tried your best, and that's all that counts!!

Good Luck Fellow Petals!

What works for you!

Hi guys! So I've made a list of things to consider when choosing where and when to study.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Do I study better at night or in the morning?

Am I more focussed working at a table or lounging around?

Is constant snacking an avoidance tactic or does eating help me concentrate?

What's the best environment for me? Lamplight, bright light or daylight? Cool room or warm room? Tidy or untidy room?

Do I study best when I am with a group of friends? Or is this just time spent chatting? Do I focus more when working alone?

I hope this helped you guys!

Ways to reward😇

hi guys, so today I'm going to share with you things you should do to reward yourself after studying.

  1. If your reading a book, put a small sweet on a section of the page and eat it when you read that section.
  2. After 2 hours of study, you get to watch 1 episode of your favourite TV series.
  3. After a test, Reward yourself by buying yourself something you've wanted to buy for a while.
  4. if you get over a certain amount in your test, Treat yourself and go a day out.
  5. If you do more study hours than planned, take a day off.
Hope this helped, Good luck!!!

How to make studying happen!

Hi guys! So I'm going to give you 4 easy steps to make studying actually happen! Its fair enough telling you how to study but these steps really will help.

1. Understand
Take time to think about what it is you are learning, how does it relate to you, if you don't get it, ask someone.

2. Condense
It is not possible to remember absolutely everything at once. Make coloured notes, mind maps or use post it notes to organise the key points.

3. Memorise
Rather than just reading over your notes, think of ways to make things more memorable and store information in your head so it can easily be found when it comes to your exam. Use mnemonics, funny stories, rhymes or songs and try to relate what you are remembering to you personally.

4. Review
Learning without reviewing is a bit like filling a bath with water without putting in the plug! Make time to come back and check that you remember what you have learned. Test yourself or ask someone to test you after a few weeks and again after a few months. Don't let all your hard work drain away, put the bath plug in!

Good luck for your exams guys!!
