Enchanted Garden!

Hi guys!

Today is a bit of a different post but still on the seasonal topic of Autumn, so recently I went on a weekend break with my family. We have always went to this place on the September weekend, ever since I was born I have been their every year without fail. So again this year we went our usual walk around the shops and beach except this year I found this amazing garden. I had never seen this place before, which is strange because its quite hard to miss.

This patch of garden had the most amazing array of autumn colours as you will see in a moment. Right in the centre of the garden there was a mini beast mansion, if you don't know what that is, its basically a crate filled with sticks, stones, hay/straw which makes the best living environment for all types of mini beasts, it is really easy to make and I highly recommend you make one, it doesn't have to be huge, even if it's just a pile of sticks at the side of your house it still gives a little bug a home for the winter months.

Moving on from saving the mini beasts. I got some pictures of some of my favourite flowers so here they are. I hope you enjoy the beautiful colours as much as I did.

Autumn Candles!

Hi guys! As Autumn and Winter time are the candle seasons I thought it would be appropriate to show you my favourite cosy candles. Enjoy!

At this time of the year I love the smell of warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Candles can just make such a difference to your environment.

Gingerbread Maple
This candle is incredible, it makes the room smell like a gingerbread house which is amazing. This is just perfect for the switch from Summer to Autumn as it's just a subtle hint of warmth.

Baby Powder
This is just a classic scent. I burn this candle all through the year as it is an all year round scent. This scent just makes me feel warm and cosy.

Sparkling Cinnamon
I bought this quite recently so I don't know what it smells like when it is burning but I know that it smells great in the packaging. It smells like cinnamon but it is very subtle which I like as anything too overpowering gives me a headache.

Home Sweet Home
This scent is all about the cinnamon. For these tarts you need an oil burner which I don't have but I like to put it in my pyjama drawer so that my pyjamas smell like cinnamon and that just makes my cosy PJ's even cosier.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know what your favourite Autumn scent is down in the comments.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN🎃

Hi Everyone so since tomorrow is halloween i thought i would share some things i personally like to do on this spooky autumnal day.

Pumpkin Carving

I always like to get a fresh pumpkin from the shops and create a goolish design to sit on my dresser.
BE CREATIVE! Go nuts with your creative skills and carve a spectacular pumpkin!

Trick or Treat

Everyone loves to get loads of sweets to eat at this time of year! Go all out and get a creative way to store your sweets so no one can find them #SecretStash. And remember, always tell a joke or you won't get any sweets!

Dress up

I usually go for something quite plain and simple like a good old cat or a witch. If your in the Halloween spirit you could go all the way and get creative and make your own costume! Or if your not so creative you can pick up cheap and easy costumes at places like Asda and Tesco.

Decorate

This year i haven't went to extravegant with my decor and have only opted for a few bits and bobs to spice up my room, here are a few of my decorations -
  •  Glitter Pumpkin- Asda (£1)

  • "BOO" Sign- John Lewis (£8)

  • Ghost Fairy Lights- Asda (£3)

  • "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" sign- Asda (£2)

I hope everyone liked this post, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN, hope everyone has a great day and be safe!

Autumn Home Wishlist!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to share my Autumn home wishlist with you. These are just some homey cosy touches that you can add to your home to make it more comfortable.

Cosy Blankets

Why would you not have cosy blankets lying on all your couches and beds. When it's cold out and you have popcorn, hot chocolate and a movie the last element you need to make that the perfect day is a cosy blanket. I love blankets, you can also get them really cheap from shops like Primark but you can also get more expensive ones from shops like next and Debenhams.

Fluffy Pillows

Again why would you not. So cosy. So fluffy. So autumnal. So fetch (lol)

Candles

Candles are ones of my most favourite things about the cosy side of the year. You can get the most incredible scented candles ever. My favourite scents are cinnamon, ginger, any warm spices, gingerbread, baby powder.

Seasonal Flowers

It is really lovely to have a bouquet of flowers sitting in your living room or dining room. There are some really nice flowers for this season like sunflowers, carnations and camellia's. Most people associate flowers with Spring and Summer but you gotta love them Pastel Petals in the Autumn time (pardon the pun).

Carved Pumpkin

This decoration is more Halloween based but it is a nice DIY to do with family and friends and is affordable. You can buy pumpkins from supermarkets starting from 50p. I had actually never carved a pumpkin until last year but I loved it. You can use cookie cutters or just a knife to cut shapes out but either way, stick on some tunes and get your hands dirty.

Fairy Lights

These add a great glow to a room and creates a really calm environment. You could hang them above your bed or lay them on top of your mantelpiece. Wherever you put them they will look gorgeous and put you in a feel good mood.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Leave a comment telling us your Autumn home wishlist.

Autumn DIY's🍂

Glittery Autumnal Fairy Lights

Hi guys so today i thought i would share with you a DIY that you could make/do this Autumn that could make you feel more cosy and ready for the cold crisp sweater weather ahead!

I have got 3 DIY's that i would like to share with you but i will do them in 3 different posts so i can give you more details and pictures to each one!

My first DIY is Glittery Autumnal fairy lights!

What you will need:

 - Leaves (real or fake)
 - Clear Nail Polish
 - Glitter Nail Polish
 - Glitter Spray (Optional)
 - Hairspray
 - Fairy Lights
 - Cellotape

Step 1

Collect some leaves from outside our get some fake ones from the likes of Amazon or Ebay! I went with the good old fashioned leave picking from outside, but i would recommend using fake ones as they last longer!

Step 2

Cover your variety or leaves in the clear nail polish to keep the leave from breaking (or rotting if it is real), and leave the leaf to dry for about 1 to 2 minutes. Make sure you paint the front and back of the leaf so the full thing is protected.

Step 3

Once your leaves are fully dry, paint on your choice of glitter nail polish to the front only then again leave to dry for this time round about 3 to 4 minutes so they don't smudge.

Step 4 (optional)

If you would like to give your leaves that extra glam then spray some glitter spray on both sides of the leaf and leave to dry for 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 5

Once completely dry, select your choice of hair spray and spray your collection of leaves to keep the glitter on them and to keep every little bit of perfection intact.

Step 6

Attach your newly glamorous, glittery leaves to your fairy lights with the sellotape and there you have it! your very own DIY Glittery Autumnal fairy lights!

I hope you guys enjoyed this DIY as i had a really good time making it! i also hope this inspires you to make some of your own DIY's and if you make these Glittery Autumnal fairy lights make sure to tweet us them @pastelpetals with the hashtag #Autumnpetals
And also keep your eyes peeled for part 2 & 3 of this DIY series!

Autumn Nails!

Hi guys! I'm sharing my Autumn nail polishes today. I don't know about you but we both love to have our nails dressed for the Autumn season, which means dark berry and very dark purples make appearances.

I feel like the only season you can really get away with a dark nail polish is Autumn. In Summer you tend to go for brighter colours or nudes and in Winter it is normally a classic red. I've cropped together 6 of my favourite Autumn colours for you guys. Obviously there isn't much I can say about nail polishes so I am just going to show you them and swatch them.
